Both locally and nationally, there is a trend that most volunteers tend to stop volunteering after six months. Citizens Advice Newcastle (CAN) is working with Media Action to advertise for voluntary workers both in the press and on local radio. At one point, the volunteer situation at Cowgate and Cruddas Park Citizens Advice had reached a crisis point, but only in the last few months did Citizens Advice Newcastle receive a new influx of workers.
