Citizens Advice Newcastle is now the lead agency in the new Consumer Support Network initiative, thanks to the diligent work of the staff members. This network involves various North East agencies like Trading Standards and Age Concern. The initiative aims to raise awareness of consumer rights and enforcement. Research is being conducted by the University of Northumbria, and there is hope for additional central funding to pilot the project.
