Descripción:
Citizens Advice Newcastle (CAN)was experiencing a shortage of voluntary workers. They successfully applied for funding to hire a Training/Recruitment Officer. In her first six months, the Recruitment Officer has achieved several key objectives:
- Conducted research to gather feedback from existing volunteers, leading to positive insights and recommendations for further development.
- Developed new policies and procedures related to recruitment, selection, and training to ensure best practices.
- Recruited 20 new volunteers, who, once trained, will significantly enhance CAN's capacity.
- Managed the coordination and assessment of the Certificate in Generalist Advice Work training programme, ensuring that 27 volunteers were supported and met the required standards.
This role is crucial for ensuring that CAN's staff and volunteers are well-trained to effectively meet the needs of clients and stakeholders, thereby contributing to the continued growth and improvement of the service.
