Within Citizens Advice Newcastle, the profile of social policy work has increased vastly. This year clients were included through the opportunity to make their voices heard with policymakers and regulators through the implementation of the Client Voice Project. This scheme provided an opportunity for clients to try and directly influence how services are delivered. As a result, clients were provided with standard letters and guidance materials in six subject areas:
- Finding an NHS dentist
- Paying for school uniforms
- Finding a legal aid solicitor
- Dealing with Jobcentre Plus
- Enforcing rights at work
- Getting through to British Gas

The project materials are now also available to the public via the Advice Guide website.
