Hank McCoy, conducting gene therapy research for he and Moira MacTaggart accidently sets off a secondary stage of mutation within his genes, causing him to grow blue hair all over his body. While personally traumatic, he and MacTaggart publish on the discovery of secondary mutations, gaining both wide praise.
