The Mesothelioma Advice Service continued throughout the lockdown, handling 56 cases. In September, the support group meetings were safely re-established face-to-face. Mesothelioma, an asbestos-related disease, usually affects older people; however, the adviser was unusually assisting individuals in their mid-thirties. Unfortunately, funding for this project ended in March as the Mesothelioma charity decided to bring the adviser in-house. This service provided significant financial benefits to those affected and their families.
