This year, Citizens Advice Newcastle has been busy with benefits and debt issues. For benefits, the law remains complicated, and people are unable to fully help themselves. The rising number of debt issues is a sign of the times, as credit is very easily available but not so easily repaid. Citizens Advice Newcastle is changing operations to concentrate their efforts on debt advice. More volunteers are training to be debt advisers.
