Having apprenticed with his stepfather, Michael Morbius travels to London both to continue his studies. He seeks out James Blundell and discusses with him the subject of blood transfusions. Morbius begins experimenting on himself with transfusions, which offer temporary solutions, though he continues to seek a permanent cure.
