Thor returns to Fjörgynn and Jörd, and thanks them for their kindness when he first arrived. He believes that he is a better man now than when he appeared to them. He then returns to Asgard, greeted by Odin and Frigg with open arms. Thor finds Sif and exclaims his love for her, which she refuses to reciprocate.

Loki, disgruntled at his elder brother's return, begins plotting his next move.
