1 mar 1876 año - The Telephone

Descripción:

This year, and even this month, saw the creation and the patenting of the first widely successful telephone, both by Alexander Graham Bell. While telephones weren’t necessarily a new invention, Bell’s was able to pick up any sound, including speech, which enabled him to make the now-famous first ever phone call in history to his assistant: “Mr. Watson, come here - I want to see you.” As it was further developed, its range increased from mere yards to entire miles in a matter of months, allowing for long-range communication between cities. Such an achievement became the basis for global telecommunications, and, due to Bell’s partner making the first phone company to capitalize off of his telephone, wound up being responsible for one of the giant phone companies of today’s age: AT&T.
