25 mayo 1950 año - There Will Come Soft Rains
by Ray Bradbury
Descripción:
A short story by Ray Bradbury about a lone, artificially intelligent house that stands after a nuclear disaster has destroyed most of a city in California. The family within the house has long since passed but the house still works as if nothing has happened. The title comes from a poem of the same name written in 1918 by Sara Teasdale. The 1918 poem chronicles the journey of a similar post-apocalyptic setting and was influenced by the author's experiences of WWI and the influenza pandemic at the time. Both of these pieces are clear examples of how current events greatly impact the post-apocalyptic genre.
