23 nov 1948 año - Operation Lot
Descripción:
Operation Lot was an Israeli military operation during the 1948 Arab–Israeli War, conducted from November 23 to 25 in the eastern Negev desert and the Arava. Its goal was to establish a land corridor to the isolated Dead Sea enclave and assert Israeli sovereignty over the area, following the earlier capture of Beersheba. The operation was executed by the Negev Brigade without any combat, effectively securing the region and paving the way for subsequent operations, including Operation Uvda. The mission involved traversing challenging terrain, including the Scorpions Pass, and resulted in the strategic linkage with the Dead Sea enclave without encountering resistance.
