The Pueblo Revolt of 1680 was an uprising of most of the indigenous Pueblo people against the Spanish colonizers in the province of Santa Fe de Nuevo México, present-day New Mexico. The revolt successfully expelled the Spanish for over a decade, making it one of the most effective acts of resistance by Native Americans against European colonization in North America.
