Starscape's Frigate reveal was the first in-game event that had a backstory. Pilots were tasked by Coresec leadership to hunt down and destroy a band of pirates who had stolen valuable blueprint prototypes for Frigates.

Keth gives 10 staff members Frigates to guard the pirate outpost in Nerel. The Vyktranian Dominion (VYKDOM) and Star-Jumper Corps are the first to arrive, but do not have enough firepower to wipe out the Frigate fleet. Soon after, The United Federation's fleet led by Coolidest and Voltic_Bep warp into Nerel, pushing the server to over 100 players. The Staff team is wiped out and some players are lucky enough to get frigate blueprints off of their destroyed ships. The United Federation opens fire on non alliance ships in an attempt to secure the loot.
