Amber Heard's tearful and harrowing description of the violent fight which prompted her to leave Johnny Depp has been obtained by DailyMail.com.
In August 2016, Heard sat down with her lawyer and Depp's to give her recollection of the incident and many others as part of their divorce proceedings.
Depp, who maintains he never laid a finger on her, was not there.
In a newly-released video of that deposition, she is seen crying and struggling to find words to describe the alleged beating.
It allegedly took place at their home in Los Angeles on May 21, 2016.
In a written statement she filed in court last week to try to dismiss his defamation lawsuit against her, she said she had arranged to meet him at their home to discuss their relationship.
Heard had texted and asked their friends, Rocky Pennington and her husband Josh, who were their neighbors, to come over because Depp was becoming 'erratic'.
She also called her friend, gay rights activist Io Tillett Wright, in the hope that she could 'mollify' him.
Wright - who has claimed repeatedly to be a witness of him abusing her - was on the phone to Depp and Wright yelled to Heard to get out of the home fearing her safety.
'All I remember is him screaming these expletives at my friend Io and telling her that she could have me now, then he put his arm back and he threw the phone as hard as he could at my face.
'I said, "You hit me."I said, "John you hit me. Honey you've hit me in the eye."
'I start crying and I, he approaches me.... grabs my head, takes a fist full of my hair and said, “I hit your eye, huh? Let me see where I hit your eye. What if I pull your hair back?”
'He is smacking my face, moving my face and he's got me by the hair and he's, it's hard to describe it's almost like yanking me from side to side with my hair,' she said, gesturing back and forth with her hands.
Crying, Heard continued: 'He's still holding on to my head at this time and he said, I don't know if he's trying it grab my face but he's yelling at me, screaming, see how hard I hit you. I am screaming at the top of my lungs, help, help please help.'
Tillett Wright was still on the line and had called 911.

Heard said she did not know at the time if he was still listening but that she could 'only hope' she was.
She started screaming for help from Depp's security guards, she said, 'even though they never respond'.
'I am screaming as loud as I can,' she said.
Her friend, Rocky, entered the apartment with her own key and Depp let go of her, she said.
She claims she 'retreated' to a couch and cowered.
Depp then allegedly yelled at her: 'Get the f*** up Amber' repeatedly, becoming louder each time he said it.
It prompted his security guards to run in and yell 'Boss!', she claimed.
Heard left their apartment and went next door to the adjoining penthouse which her friends lived in.
While hiding in there, she said she called her attorney to seek her advice.
When police arrived, she declined to tell them what had happened because, she said, she did not want to create an 'international media incident' for either her or Depp.
After that incident, Heard filed for a restraining order.
Her description of the incident is one of many given in the documents her attorneys filed in court last week.
They are trying to get a judge to dismiss Depp's $50million lawsuit against her.
He alleges that by writing an op-ed about domestic abuse for The Washington Post, Heard defamed him.
She never once referred to him by name and has never publicly aired the allegations of abuse because of a binding agreement that was part of their divorce settlement.
The pair divorced in 2017 and Heard was granted a $7million sum which she donated to The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
