In the weeks leading up to this event, The Golden Accord and Genesis mass produce warships in anticipation for the largest conflict in Starscape's history, involving 170+ players. Bad blood between the former United Federation's Chancellor and Senate reaches it's peak.

Before the battle began, The Golden Accord's leadership got alts into one of Genesis' affiliate factions, MMG. The alts destroyed several Genesis warships while the Genesis fleet was in transit to Zeluw Si.

When The Golden Accord charged their fleet at Genesis, as soon as Genesis started to move forward the server started to crash several times for many players. The Golden Accord was able to log on more players than Genesis after the server crash. Several Genesis warships were destroyed during the chaos, and soon after the fleet was ordered to stay logged off by xRitual due to server instability.

This battle is dubbed The Great Shame due to all the hype surrounding it, only to be met with server crashes.
