These creatures are afraid of the light, though humanity could not ward them off with their means at the time. Istaroth, the God of Wind and Time, eventually aided humans by bestowing wisdom upon Aberaku no Mikoto, so that he could create the Dainichi Mikoshi, which was then known as "Helios."
