Descripción:

German-American psychologist and one of the pioneers of social psychology. He studied at the universities of Freiburg, Munich, and Berlin, where he earned his Ph.D. in psychology.
Lewin developed the concept of "field theory," which suggests that behavior is a function of an individual's psychological environment at a given moment. He conducted pioneering research on group dynamics, leadership, and the influence of social forces on individual behavior. He advocated for action research which allowed for collaboration between researchers and practitioners to address real-world problems. In 1945, Lewin founded the Research Center for Group Dynamics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This center became a hub for research on group processes and social psychology (Snyder, 2009).
