Perpetua and Felicity were Christian noblewomen who were martyred in the Roman province of Carthage in Africa in CE 203. Felicity was the slave of Perpetua, and their story is well known because many accounts of the event, including Perpetua’s first-hand account, have survived to inspire following Christians.
