The ottoman dynasty was made up of the members of the Imperial House of Osman. The Salton was the absolute Regent, Head of the State, and head of the government, so much the power often shifted to other officials. Eventually they made a shift to a constitutional monarchy. the Imperial family was deposed from power and the sultan was abolished.
