28 jun 1914 año - Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand
Descripción:
There was a period of decline primarily due to the assassination of the archduke of Austria-Hungary, sparking a half-decade war. In the aftermath of the assassination of a prominent member of the Bosnian and Herzegovina government in Sarajevo, Serbia and the Austria-Hungarian Empire began to clash. As a result of joining the Austria-Hungary empire, Serbian citizens were threatened with losing their sense of national identity. A message to the empire was sent due to the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand by Serbian nationalists, namely the Black Hand. Austria-Hungary responded by declaring war on Serbia as a result of these actions. World War I eventually breaks out, as both sides' alliances join the fight, eventually leading to the end of the war for both sides.
