The first action of this new government was restoring the Martial Law employed during the human-covenant wars in order to restore resource production to the UNE as a whole, to prevent mass starvation among other issues resulting from losing the seat of humanity’s operations. The second action was a parliamentary inquest into AMI’s actions regarding the cause of the weapon firing on Earth. A team of scientists were re-deployed to the Atlantean’s world in Fevoria but failed to find any definite cause for the cannon’s activation. Despite the inconclusive finds of the parliamentary inquest, AMI professed her overwhelming sense of guilt to the UNE Emergency Council, and suggested that she be permanently deactivated, (put to death) for her actions, as a form of self imposed penance. Despite appearing to beg for her own death, the UNE Emergency Council refused AMI’s suggestion, but did demand she cede full control of Mars to them, which she did.
