The Wii U featured the first 8th generation game console gameplay in 1080p resolution. It had up to 32GB of flash-based memory for storing game saves, a touch tablet controller with built-in camera, and game discs with 25GB content which was the first of its kind to handle that kind of processing in such a small device. Nintendo sold 890,000 units in 6 weeks.
