9 ene 523 año aC - Marriage into Persian Nobility

Descripción:

After Cyrus the Great of Persia died, his second son Bardya was given rule over the Bactrian province. He was also exempted from taxes to ensure his loyalty to his eldest son Cambysis who was to succeed to the Persian throne. Bardya married a Selaiki princess, who was the fourth daughter of the current Queen of Selga, along with two Persian princesses. Eventually, Bardyia became the new king of the Persian empire after succeeding his brother, giving his Selaikic wife significant influence. This was the first significant feudal interaction between the Selaiki and Human dynasties. The Selaiki noble houses used their position to demand better rights and peaceful coexistence for their people in foreign lands where they had claims. Over time, lesser Selaiki nobles and leaders of small villages mingled with other prominent figures, with varying degrees of success.
