AM: The North Hollywood Shootout occurs, a high-profile bank robbery and shootout that prompts discussions about law enforcement response. This was a confrontation between two heavily armed and armored bank robbers, Larru Phillips Jr. and Emil Mătăsăreanu. This is important to me at least as this event occurred outside the Middle School I attended.
