Descripción:

Cause: Free black men and a group of enslaved men were led by Nat Turner in a rebellion. During this rebellion, over fifty women, children, and women were killed.

Effect: The cartoon shows the terror which was felt by white southerners during the rebellion and once it was over. Hundreds of enslaved people, many who did not have any connection to the rebellion, were killed by fearful white people.
