I would just like to start off by saying DO NOT EAT OR CHEW OR PUT ANY KIND OF CHEMICAL IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT DO THE TIDE POD CHALLENGE. People have in fact died because of this challenge.

If you don’t know what the challenge is. Basically people (to be more specific it was teens) recorded themselves chewing on Tide pods and then encouraged others to do the same. But please do not do this. People have died, and have gone into a coma because of eating Tide pods so don’t eat Tide pods. Tide did know that some smaller children would probably eat these so they made sure that it had a really really bad flavor that would cause your body to try and spit it out immediately.

Tide Pods are made of a lot of different chemicals and you can see why they are so bad to digest. Tide pods contain toxic ingredients like ethanol and hydrogen peroxide, and consuming them can cause burns to the digestive system, seizures, or loss of consciousness, among other health problems. The Tide pod challenge is not a joke it is very dangerous. In 2017 alone the poison control center had over 1200 calls related to the consumption of Tide pods and 10 deaths related to it.
