As the days pass Oliver and Mr Sowberry help prepare a body for a burial. Oliver watches and handles some items at the funeral. He then decides that he doesn't like the business but doesn't complain. Oliver rapidly advances in his apprenticeship that Mr Sowberry dress him well to match profession. Noah gets in confrontation with Oliver and out pour rage Olive lunges at him. The maid and Mrs Sowberry brutally beat Oliver is the criminal and then Oliver is beaten again. He then decides to run away with only morals to guide him on the way. He walks 70 miles into London where he meets Jack (dodger) who gives him lunch they ran as fast as possible. In the night Oliver is introduced to Fagin, by jack and is unknowingly in a thieves guild.
