Battle that took place near the city of Antioch on the Meander and was fought between the Empire of Nicaea, under Theodore I Laskaris, and the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum, under Kaykhusraw I. Resulted in a victory for the Nicaeans and a major defeat for the Seljuks, who sustained heavy losses and whose sultan was killed during the battle. This victory allowed the Niceans to maintain control of the Aegean coast of Anatolia.
