1 h 31 m, 19 jul 1996 año - Summer Olympics bombin

Descripción:

On July 27 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia, during the summer Olympics a bomb was placed near the park it took place. The blast killed one person and injured over 100 people. This was the first of four bombings to occur caused by Eric Rudolph. Many people had gathered at the park for a late-night concert, and sometime after midnight, Rudolph placed a bomb underneath a bench and then left the area. It could have caused a lot more damage but it was slightly shifted and didn't cause as much damage as was intended. Security was informed of the bomb and they tried to evacuate everyone but it exploded 2 minutes into the evacuation and not everyone was out of the place yet. A 44-year-old mother died in the explosion when a nail from the bomb penetrated her skull , and another man died of a heart attack while running away from the spot, and 111 people werre injured
