1 nov 1955 año - Vietnam War
Descripción:
The Vietnam War was one of the most polarizing events in American history. It gave rise to a massive anti-war movement, and millions of Americans took to the streets to peacefully demand an end to the conflict. It also created massive divides amongst generations. Older conservatives felt much differently about the war than the younger, more liberal Americans. The war was viewed by young people as being the fault of the older conservative Americans and created an ideology of rejecting traditional values and institutions. The war was also the first to be fought with a volunteer army, which created discourse between the military and citizens and resulted in many soldiers returning home to resentment thanks to their willingness to voluntarily use force.
