Descripción:

This was a significant conference because not only was it used as a platform to advocate for women's rights in the chicano movement and demonstrated the success of the women despite all the obstacles (both economically and culturally), but it helped empower the women in the community. During this conference it was no longer just representing the Mexican community but it was a collaboration with the Puerto Rican members, this helped create the illusion of acceptance, diversity, and union within the immigrant community.
