In 1985, my grandfather from my dad side suddenly passed away due to a heart attack. This caused my father to have to step up and become the head of the household and the main breadwinner for his newly-widowed mother and siblings at only 19 years old. Since my grandfather was a taxi driver before his passing, my father took up that similar trade. This trade would later aid him to getting his visa accepted to come to the U.S. in 1993.
