The murder of the former Russian royal family by the Bolsheviks due to the fear that the White army would free them and try to put them back in power.
-This event caused the Russian Revolution because some of the Romanovs sympathizers were outraged. This also got rid of almost all the political rivals in Russia that could oppose the Communist party which led to a dictatorship.
