8 mar 1928 año - Pier 21
Descripción:
Pier 21 was a boat terminal used by many immigrants travelling across oceans. It was based in Halifax and would serve as the primary point of entry for immigrants from Europe and elsewhere until 1971. Volunteers would greet immigrants at the terminal and welcome them to the country. The kindness of many had lasting impact on the newcomers, giving them a sense of belonging in an unfamiliar environment.
