Ferdinand was not well liked in Austria-Hungary . he was very conservative and didn't like serbs or Hungarians. But nevertheless he did not mind the idea of creating a slavic region of the Austro-Hungarian empire in the south in the south and perhaps incorporating Serbia into the empire. Perhaps Ferdinand would have been been better for Serbia if he hadn't been assassinated. Ferdinand was really the only high-level person in Austria-Hungary opposed to war.
