After and during WW1 the Soviet Union citizens were starving with no supplies or ammunition. In addition many men were still fighting the war. This is when the new communist government came in promising change, more food and supplies, an end to the war, and a more successful Soviet Union. And the people were so desperate for change they fell for all the promises. And this started the transfer to communism for the Soviet Union.
