Gwyn takes Hermit to Quidi Vidi Lake and lets him fly around. When Hermit came back from flying he seemed ill and told Gwyn that something was wrong and that it was like there was a pain of glass between him and the world. They arrive back at their house and Gwyn let Hermit sleep in his bedroom. Jonas came to visit Maddie and teach her to weave. Gwyn was surprised to see that Maddie was an awful weaver. Gwyn started his paper essay for the Heritage Fair and received help from Hermit, who was back to his normal self. Sunny joins all of them for dinner and talks about the Picts.
