Invented by James Hargreaves.

This machine’s purpose was to spin wool or cotton spindles, which at first was restricted to 8 but substantially increased to 80 following the advancement of technology. The function of the spindles spinning thread was enabled by the wheel spinning, which had to be spun by a worker.
