Beer Hall Putsch was a failed attempt by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party to overthrow the German government.
The Nazi party marched down the centre of berlin in an attempt to overthrow the government, but the German government was too strong, and the German police force killed over 10 people that were protesting.
Hitler was on the front lines and got arrested by the police along with 9 other people.
It was named beer hall putsch because they started the protest outside a beer hall.
Effects:
1. When Hitler was on trial, he was charged for high treason but was given the lightest sentence of 5 years in a minimum security prison. But he only spent 8 months there and later got out.
2. In prison he wrote the first volume of his autobiography
3. The leaders of the protest had 4 main goals and when the Nazis came into power they achieved all of the goals in 2 years.
