22 jun 1774 año - Quebec Act passed, First Continental Conference

Descripción:

The Quebec Act allowed many new procedures to be done. Procedures include provincial territory expansion into the Indian Reserve, free practice of the Catholic faith, and the allowing of the Catholic Church to impose tithes. However, this act also affected the 13 colonies. Patriots were more angered than before because parts of Ohio were granted to Quebec. The First Continental Conference, or the First Continental Congress, was a meeting between the twelve of the thirteen colonies. This congress was called in response to the Intolerable acts. Each colony sent an official to the congress to briefly discuss the consideration of other options, including an economic boycott of the British trade.
