The Battle of Naseby was fought on June 14, 1645, during the First English Civil War. It was a decisive victory for the Parliamentarian forces, led by Oliver Cromwell, over the Royalist forces, led by King Charles I. The battle took place in the county of Northamptonshire, England, and was a turning point in the Civil War. The Parliamentarians were able to defeat the main Royalist army and capture the king's personal baggage train, which contained important documents that revealed the extent of Royalist support and plans for the war. This victory significantly weakened the Royalist cause and paved the way for the eventual triumph of the Parliamentarians. it is common to see that later down in time of the civil war we see that more victories leaning towards the Roundhead
