George Kennan, a.k.a. "Mr. X" wrote an anonymous article in which he said that Soviet policymakers had the intention of destroying the American way of life. He would also propose a containment policy. According to Kennan, if communism was left by itself, it would eventually crumble under it's own weight. The policy was priority for the next 45 years in the U.S.A.
