1 ene 1961 año - Phil Spector and the Wall of Sound
Descripción:
Inspired by his father's suicide when he was 10 years old, Phil Spector became the most successful and popular producer ever. He was amongst the most accomplished producers of the 1960's but he wasn't a nice guy. He had a huge ego. Despite this, he was nicknamed the "tycoon of teen" for his teenage symphonies. He revolutionized record production and helped redefine rock n roll in the early 60's, whilst making himself more important than the artists he produced. Singers were just instruments to him to build the Wall of Sound which was a technique of building intensity by adding a single instrument at a time. Often a full orchestra.
His motto was "back to mono" as he did not like the stereo sound coming from two channels.
Phil Spector was convicted of the murder of Lana Clarkson. You can check out the story here: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/phil-spector-lana-clarkson-docuseries-showtime-spector-trailer-1234600312/
