19 jul 1848 año - Women's Suggrage and Seneca Falls

Descripción:

Women were tired of not having the same rights as men and they decided to do something about it. The Women's Suffrage movement began and eventually led to the Seneca Falls convention that took place on July 19th and 20th of 1848. The convention consisted of around 300 women gathering together to discuss women's rights in America. On the second day of the convention, they allowed men to attend and give input.
The women's suffrage movement initially only included white women, but eventually they began to fight for equal rights of all women. At the Seneca Falls convention, Sojourner Truth gave her famous "Ain't I A Woman" speech which discussed the difference in the way she was treated compared to men and white women.
