The Battle Of The Atlantic was the longest battle of World War II. It lasted from September 3rd, 1939 to May 8th, 1945. The battle was between the Western Allies (Britain, France, Australia, the Soviet Union, China and the United States) And the Axis Powers (Japan, Germany, and Italy) but mainly Germany. The battle was long, and at points the Allies were struggling, but they defeated the Axis by May 1945.
