Queen Elizabeth I wanted to expand the British’s wealth and power so she decided to colonize America, since America can provide a lot of resources and create trade with the first nation. She sent a group of Colonists to colonize America and they became the first British Colonists to colonize america. However, the colony mysteriously disappeared. When other colonists went by the colony, they found nothing but a skeleton, which they assume was one of the Roanoke colonists.This is important because this started the colonization in America by the british.
