Descripción:

Lt Col John Nixon after escorting prisoners to Brig Gen Sumter's camp joined with a larger Patriot force. The force was moving down the westside of the Broad River near a British Camp when they discovered an occupied Tory house. The Patriot force attacked the house but Lt Col Nixon was killed during the skirmish. Unable to drive the Tories out, the Patriots withdrew the next day.
