Major William Richardson Davie captures British supply convoy from Camden to Hanging Rock outpost as it crossed the Flat Rock about 16 miles North of Camden, S.C. Riding east after his successful raid, Maj. Davie was fired upon by Loyalists lying concealed near the ford at Beaver Creek. Major Davie seized a Tory to guide his troop safely past the British ambush.
