30 abr 1780 año - HMS Comet vs Renowen attack battery

Descripción:

The British galley Comet and the frigate Renown were attempting to attack the Patriot bridge battery located on Haddrell's Point in Charles Town Harbor. Both ships ran aground in range of the Patriot cannons. The Renown was able to free herself but the Comet was destroyed by the Patriot cannons which had been moved from Fort Sullivan (Moultire) to the battery.
